I have previously written here of my experience as a New York City taxi driver when I was a university student. Nothing beats cab driving for a crash course in New York City and learning about its geography, boroughs and people. There are many taxi cab stories I have exchanged with others - in the course of driving nights, inevitably a driver will run across some outrageous situations.
