Patricia Kennealy Morrison, former wife of Jim, writes in remembering Ratner’s on 2nd, saying, “Ah, Ratner’s…my husband and I were particularly partial to the strawberry shortcake and mile-high chocolate cream pie. We’d go there for dessert after dinner at the Second Avenue Deli. Though he only played the Fillmore East one weekend…he had this band called the Doors.”
